That behavior, however, "puts you at risk," said Hannah Brueckner, assistant professor of sociology at Yale and one of the study's authors.

Well, this should be absolutely no shock to anyone. Let me elaborate. You can't fight nature and hormones. It happens. If parents think that their teen child is not bumping uglies, your head is in the sand. The best education is a comprehensive sex education. Regardless where you fall in the religious and moral compass.
It goes back to the old "new years resolution" idea. I make a resolution every year to do something to better myself, but we all fall under the same rut everyday. It is comfortable and we can stay in a comfort zone. It's easy and painless to do the same routine. How does this relate to what we are talking about.
Teens can pledge not to do something but they fall under one thing, willpower. If a person has enough willpower, they can overcome many obstacles. The truth is that all humans are sexual beings and fighting that urge at 16 or 17 is rather difficult. Peer pressure is more powerful than a parents advice. Parents need to trust their child in the decisions they make and be there when they don't. It is part of growing up. You can't keep your child locked up for days for fear they might catch something or get pregnant. The odds are against that. Parents need to give credit to their teen, where it is due. Remember, they are the product of their environment.
Comprehensive sex education should be part of the curriculum. I rather have my 15-16-17 year old have the tools needed "just in case". Religion has a place in people's lives, but not in sex education. According to this study, it is more apparent. Otherwise, we have a society of teens downtrotten and confused.

XM And Sirius, New Wave Of Radio, The Editorial

Welcome to my synopsis of the state of music and radio in general. A few years ago, many radio stations across the FM dial became very homogenized. The stations that were on the air stuck to very tight playlists and tons of advertisements. They felt this was the way to go for making revenue for their station. But it actually was the breeding ground for a revolution in broadcast radio.
Of course, you have your internet radio, which is a fantastic medium to reach the music fan. But, there is one source of radio that simply changed the landscape of radio forever. This involved two companies, XM Radio of Washington D.C. and Sirius Satellite Radio of New York.
These are two ambitious companies that have been in the red but are making strides to get the music lover back to radio and in a big way. I personally have had both services. You cannot go wrong with either one. Over 100 stations of pure audio bliss. Sirius tends to stick with the familar but refreshing. XM has deep playlists and obscure hits which gives you a wide variety of music. Everything from pop, rock, jazz, blues, hip-hop, they both cover it all.
Here is where it gets tricky. Equipment runs roughly around $150-$200 and this includes a home kit, where you can it hooked into your stereo, or a car kit, which you take your unit on the go.
Many car companies are jumping on the bandwagon to offer satellite radio to their customers, which is the step in the right direction. FM simply cannot offer what satellite radio is doing now or going in the future. Big star talent seems to be jumping on the wave, such as Howard Stern, Dr. Laura, Opie and Anthony, and much more. Quite simply, XM and Sirius are a huge step in the right direction for the future of radio.
My opinion: Satellite Radio is worth it. For the price of a new CD, you can enjoy the spontaneous DJ's and interesting shows they offer. So visit http://www.xmradio.com or http://www.sirus.com on your way through the web. Each service offers online streaming for a couple of days to test it out. Once you subscribe, you can even stream off the web. Very cool indeed! Let the revolution of radio begin and in the end, we all win.

<img border='0' style='border:1px solid #006600; Blogs come and go, but I wanted to get some things out of my head and out to the world. I will try my hardest to not have a serious blog. I think blogs should be fun and express the inner person that you are. The first impression is most times, the only impression. I will have fun and games, links, and rantings about things that have some sort of effect on the general world. So, bear with me and my blogging.... hence the title of my blog....
